The Eagles opened the NJSIAA tournament with a dramatic 4-2 extra inning affair over Monmouth Regional. Mike Farrell lifted the Eagles (11-9) to victory with a huge two run HR (#6 on the season) over right field in the eight following a leadoff single by Craig Sweeney (who had two hits in the game). Once again young Howie Brey was terrific going 6 1/3 innings allowing just two runs with 7 strikeouts. With the Eagles down 2-1 in the sixth, Farrell lead off with a single and went to third on a double by Tyler Cotterell (who had three hits in the game). Dan Biancaniello tied the game two batters later on a SAC Fly to RF. Pat O'Donnell relieved Brey in the seventh and got a big defensive gem by Matt Salomonsen who turned a 3-4 double play. O'Donnel pitched a scoreless eight to notch his second win of the season.
